Junior Cube Association Celebrates 25th Championship Alongside Rubik’s Cube’s 50th Anniversary
Mumbai, November 26, 2024 – The Junior Cube Association is thrilled to announce its 25th Championship, a significant milestone that coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Rubik’s Cube. This dual celebration promises to be a memorable event for cube enthusiasts around the globe.
The World Cubing Showdown (Fusion) is set to bring together a dynamic community of young cubers, showcasing their remarkable ability to solve various cubes while fostering a shared passion for the world’s most iconic puzzle. With around 200 participants from across the globe, the event highlights the growing interest and enthusiasm for cubing, particularly among children.
This championship introduces a groundbreaking Fusion format, combining both online and offline elements. The format allows children worldwide to compete with their peers in age-appropriate groups, ensuring a fair and exciting competition.
Online Championship: Beginning on 14th December 2024, participants will display their cubing prowess virtually, competing from different corners of the world.
Offline Championship: The grand finale will take place on 21st December 2024 at Infinity Mall, Malad, Mumbai, where live events and thrilling competitions will unfold.
Adding to the grandeur, the event will host eminent Guinness World Record holders, who will inspire young participants by sharing their achievements and journeys.
With cubing gaining momentum in India, this championship underscores the rising talent and dedication among young cubers. A key highlight of the event is the Junior Cube Association’s unique age-appropriate groupings, coupled with a scoring system where the average of three attempts determines the final result. This ensures fairness and aligns with the standards of world cubing federations. Additionally, participants will receive verified certificates, specially crafted trophies, and medals, offering valuable recognition for their efforts and achievements. These honors highlight the event’s diversity and global scale, celebrating the participation of boys and girls from around the world.
